This book shows all of the details inside and out of #4006, the 7th of 25 of
this class of the largest steam locomotives ever built in the world. Orignally built
by the American Locomotive Company for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1941, none
of these are left in service today but examples still exist in museums around
the US. Green Bay, WI; St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; and Washington, DC are
just 4 cities that have museums where these can be seen in person.
Many of the photos in this book have been digitally enhanced to better show off the details that readers want to see. To a reader expecting the normal heavily shadowed B&W photos, they will be pleasantly surprised to be able to see everything easier.
This book has 66 pages with 123 B&W photos
This book is spiral bound so it lays flat and has heavy duty, full cover, paper covers and is
8 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide.
