Our Quick Pic Book series shows the subjects in extensive black & white photographs which have often been digitally edited to best exhibit the details.

This volume shows all the details on these cars including inside and out, the

trucks & underframe. The trucks are special on coach 284 because the Colorado Railroad Museum had them made from new castings of a duplicate pattern to the D&RGW ones. Inside the cars, the interior woodwork and all the painting and upholstery is shown in these photos as well as the brake air gauge adjacent

to the bay window which was important when 284 was used as a caboose on

the train to Santa Fe, NM over the Chili Line. Coach 280 is owned by the

city of Boulder but is on loan to the Colorado Railroad Museum indefinitely.

Coach 284 is part of the collection at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO.
