The New Haven had an eclectic mix of passenger equipment ranging from Doodlebugs to RDC to heavyweight and Stainless steel clad cars to Aluminum ones and more.
The cars operating on the New Haven lines in 1956 were about as interesting of a cross section of the builders arts of the 20th century as can be seen anywhere.
The drawings are essentially blueprints that a skilled employee could recognize, repair, and service equipment that was in use. They also provided unit number data.
This data is something that each railroad had on hand for their crews operating
the trains and the shops in the areas concerned. In the case where repairs
were necessary these were used to help restore damaged equipment.
Due to the poor quality of the originals many of the folios required editing.
This book has 113 pages with 112 Diagrams, Illustrations, & tables.
Below are some sample pages from the book.
