This book contains Folio drawings of the equipment that was running
during the mid-1950's throughout the Illinois Central Railroad. It was during
this post WW2 era where the IC was trying to create additional traffic
with innovative solutions for customers to maintain the lineage of the road. Unfortunately this was not successful and these cars were for the most part
those that were carried forward into the merged Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
The drawings are essentially blueprints that a skilled employee could
recognize, repair, and service equipment that was in service.
This data is something that each railroad had on hand for their crews operating
the trains and the shops in the areas concerned. In the case where repairs
were necessary these were used to help restore damaged equipment.
Due to the poor quality of the originals many of the folios required editing.
This book contains 112 pages with 111 illustrations, drawings, & tables.
